Description
The "Napoleonic" Bee was the emblem of Napoleon Bonaparte . Napoleon, refusing to spend money to refurbish the roay Palace, instead just turned the draped--with the Royal fleur de lis--upside down. Voila! The upside down symbol looked like a bee and became napoleon's symbol. This plaque has been interpreted by artist Al Pisano and includes a "Monogram "piece (we actually carve in any letter of the alphabet). Finished is an antique white lacquer paint, this plaque measures 14" x 10". Made entirely in the USA.
